Preserving Your Prehistoric Style: Garment Care

Care for your Jurassicgoods apparel.

Updated over a month ago

We believe the only thing worse than forgetting your fossilized communicator (phone) on an expedition is not taking care of your new Jurassicgoods gear. So, we've unearthed some helpful tips to keep your favorite apparel looking dino-mite!

Decipher the Care Label

It sounds simple, but this step will help you avoid any prehistoric pitfalls in washing, drying, or ironing with an unsuitable setting. So, decipher that care label and make sure you understand the symbols! Think of it as reading ancient hieroglyphs to unlock the secrets of garment longevity.

Wash Your Garments Inside Out

Let's be honest: Prehistoric perspiration, skin cells, and bacteria accumulate on the inside of your clothing, which can make them smell worse than a long-lost fossil (yes, sorry about that). By washing your garments inside out, you ensure a more thorough cleaning—it's a Jurassic win!

Wash at Low or Cold Temperatures

We preach and practice this—washing at too high a temperature can waste a lot of energy, so save that energy for your next discovery and wash your Jurassicgoods apparel at 30°C or below whenever you can.

Pro Tip: The same goes for our accessories—keep them cool! Washing our bottles or shakers with hot water or in the dishwasher can disfigure the item, which no one wants... So, hand wash only with cold water for best results. Think of it as preserving a delicate fossil specimen.

Avoid the Tumble Dryer

The heat and agitation of the tumble dryer will shorten the lifespan of your Jurassicgoods apparel, and we don't want that! Whenever possible, air dry your garments to preserve their elasticity, logos, and prints for longer. Air drying also saves energy and reduces greenhouse gas emissions, allowing you to do your part for the environment while caring for your Jurassicgoods gear. It's like letting your clothes bask in the sun like a prehistoric reptile!
